This little piggy has piggies!

Sis's newborn hair never did fall out, so now she has all these long pieces and new hair growing underneath. It's been funky looking for a little while, but I can't bring myself to cut it and wouldn't have a clue where to start. I was playing with it yesterday and we ended up with two little piggie tails. As you can see, they stand straight up and look more like antennae than hair, but the boys got a huge kick out of it, so I left it in. J even took her out in public looking like this :-) Today, Junior wanted to have her hair in one pony tail on the top a la Pebbles Flintstone. It made her look like she came straight from Whoville.

Since she needs all four appendages to crawl and to shake the bars of 'baby prison' (or as I prefer to think of it, her own 'gated community') she has learned to pop things in her mouth to bring them along. I tried hard to get this headband out of her mouth, but no dice. I finally conceded. She deserved to win that one.

Junior and Bubba 'helping' with her Who-style hairdo. Have you ever seen a look that more plainly begged for help?

  1. LOL, I love it!! Now she will need twinners to all of your favorite bows. Bring them over and I will get right on it.

  2. I feel like a horrible friend! Some how I missed your last Wren blog and had no idea until tonight of what you and your family have been through. I am so so sorry! My heart breaks for you and your family. My sister in laws husband just pack up his bags and left his family of 5 years this last week. It makes absouluteley no sense, for either one of you. You are amazingly strong though, and I am so proud of you for that. I think your strength could really help my sister in law out at her time of need. THanks for caring on and being such an awesome example to all those single moms out there!

  3. Amelia does the 'carrying things in her mouth' as well. Seriously it's like having a puppy. And we also have a 'gated community' that sounds so much nicer than 'cage' which is what we call it.

And I'm still so jealous of Janie's hair! She is so beautiful Cynj, and very photogenic.

  5. I love when they get sticking-straight-up piggies and ponytails! Wren's hair was always too curly for that, and we were too hair-dumb with Lily to do anything with it for a long time :)

  6. Amy - I need to get doubles of smaller bows. She has about three hairs in each piggie! The bos I have are too big for now. We'll chat...

Linnea - Nice to hear from you! I'm so so sorry about your sister in law. There seems to be a horrible epidemic of this kind of thing happening. It seems like it is all I hear about these days.

  7. Love these pictures! Sometimes it's rough being the youngest...but in our house, it's the youngest who makes it rough for the older kids!

Your children are beautiful and are getting so big!
